I love food and I’m pretty sure any normal human being does too. Nothing’s better than finally satisfying that crave or eating your favorite foods, but with today’s food industry some of our favorite foods are being intoxicated with nasty chemicals, pesticides, and preservatives. While some of these snacks and foods may bring us momentary joy and satisfaction our bodies and organs digesting these foods aren’t very happy with us. Sadly, in today’s world even foods that have always been said to be healthy are doing us more damage than good. You’ll be surprised to know even eating a strawberry nowadays is possibly hurting your health.
These delicious little fruits might appear to be an innocent and a healthy snack but don’t be fooled by their appearance! Today’s modern strawberry farming requires men and women to suit up in hazmat suits. For those who don’t know what that is; The United States Department of Homeland Security defines a hazmat suit as “an overall garment worn to protect people from hazardous materials or substances, including chemicals, biological agents, or radioactive materials. Now I don’t know about you but after finding out this is how strawberries are being grown I suddenly don’t look at them as innocent little fruits. These chemicals basically force farmers to wear armor when around their strawberries, imagine what happens when these chemicals are ingested.
You might want to reconsider throwing that bag of popcorn into the microwave next time you’re about to watch some Netflix. This one kinda scares me because I’ve had microwaved popcorn basically my entire life, not too mention the fact that when I was younger the amount of shitty chemicals were probably even higher! Anyways, these sodium and fake buttered packed snacks have been known to carry a chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). In animal testing, this chemical has been known to cause liver, testicular, and pancreatic cancer. Factory workers in popcorn producing facilities have even been known to catch an occupational disease called “popcorn lung.” I think I’ll just be sipping on water next time I watch a movie.
This is great because I’ve had corn my entire life- once again. Though recently I started to not like it, I now have a reason to completely stay away. Today’s corn isn’t the same that our parents used to eat and definitely not the same stuff your grandma ate. Today’s corn has been genetically modified to produce it’s own pesticides or to survive the showers of chemicals being sprayed on them, essentially growing little pesticide chemical factories. We all know pesticides aren’t good for our health, and these corn pesticides are even known to kill off bee’s. So yeah, today’s corn is killing bee’s- which I hope you know are extremely important to the ecosystem- and are slowly killing us with yummy chemicals. Also keep in mind anything made with corn is made with the same corn that I just touched on, such as high fructose corn syrup which is in tons of foods.
Anything From McDonald’s
This one is funny because everyone already knows eating McDonald’s is bad. There is no “but’s” in this argument, McDonald’s is not doing anything good for your health. You need to realize McDonald’s does not care about you getting fat and dying whatsoever and they are doing anything they can to lower their expenses, make more money, and build more locations. McDonald’s doesn’t care if they’re helping out local farmers or helping the economy, they only want you to crave their fries even more. Fast food is typically loaded with all sorts of engineered corn, food dyes, artificial sweeteners, and other bad things we still might be completely unaware of. Just make your own burgers and fries if you want some!
It’s common sense, if it’s in a bag, cooks in 3 minutes, and it’s flavor comes from a dirty looking powder; it’s not good for you. I must admit I’ve had plenty of Ramen in my life but once I became aware of all the shitty foods that are sold to us I stopped right away. You should seriously check out the nutritional facts on the back of these things, you’ll find that they are LOADED in sodium and in order to create a desiccated, long-keeping noodle that cooks in a couple of minutes, it’s deep-fried in oil. To make things even worse, these instant soups are loaded with preservatives and mystery ingredients, that we the people eating them, don’t have the rights to know..
Congrats, you made it to the end of my post and officially know of 5 foods out of millions that you shouldn’t be putting in your body. Now seriously do yourself a favor and continue on the search of these bad foods so you live a longer and happier life. We are only given one body to use and take care of, so cherish it and eat good foods.
